24 Hour – 0″ | 7 Day – 24″ | Base Depth – 42-84″
While Tahoe recovers from a bleak early season, Mammoth Mountain is full steam ahead this year with the deepest base of any resort in the Sierra.
To be honest, it isn’t even a competition as Mt Rose grabs the 2nd place spot with a summit base depth of 43″. Mammoth Mountain has nearly double that depth, not to mention the most terrain available in California.

Sunshine and a completely new coat of white to work with. Today get out and rip some turns under the California sun on all this new snow. The groomers will be fast and soft, while the steeps will be offering up mid-winter fun and some excellent packed powder. If you find the right, spot there are still loads of fresh pow turns to be found. Get out and get ripping because it’s firing.
