This video of a massive avalanche on the highest mountain peak of Pakistan’s Hindu Kush was filmed in August but was just posted online. MSN reports the filmer, Kaleem Khan, was standing on the the Upper Tirich Glacier looking up towards Istor-o-Nal peak when the avalanche came crashing down towards him and his fellow hikers.
“It was the first time we saw something like this; it’s a rare and strange phenomenon because these big avalanches (usually) come on snowy slopes but (this one) was on the rocks. My friends in the video are … saying, ‘It will come to(wards) us.’ I was telling them it can’t reach here so chill.”
Thankfully no one was injured in the slide.
