The big news came after Loveland’s snowmaking crew made the most out of below freezing temps overnight that provided for spectacular production. All in all, the ski area “tree-to-tree coverage” with a run over a mile long and 1,000′ worth of vertical drop.

“The snow we received in early October has been a tremendous help and our snowmakers have put in a lot of hard work to ensure the first turns of the season are good ones. We invite everyone to come celebrate the start of another season with us on Friday.” – Rob Goodell, Loveland COO

Loveland’s COO Rob Goodell said that coverage on the upper mountain is pretty stellar for this time of year but emphasized they continue to focus on getting lower mountain trails open first. Lifts are scheduled to start running at 9am on weekdays and 830am on weekends.

Trails Open:

  • Catwalk
  • Mambo
  • Home Run

Snowmaking Report 10/17/17:

Monday night was a great night of snowmaking. Our snowmaking team fired up the guns at 9:00pm and they turned them off at 10:00am. We have 10 guns making snow on Home Run. We need one or two really strong nights of snowmaking and then we should be very close for a opening day announcement. We’ll keep you posted on any news we hear.

Lift Tickets:

  • Child (6-14) $29
  • Child (5 and Under) FREE
  • Senior (60-69) Available Regular Season Only
