Good news for A-Basin and Loveland ski areas who both received over a foot of the white stuff from this early autumn snowstorm but bad news for residents in the high country who experienced power blackouts by the thousands.

The Denver Post reports about 21,600 customers lost electricity for five minutes or longer starting Sunday night and power was restored to all but about 8,000 customers by mid-day Monday.

If this type of weather persists, one or two ski areas could be open in the next 2 to 3 weeks.  Who do you think will open first?
