Australia’s ski season is coming back from the dead after a low-tide early season had some locals asking, “will it ever snow?”

Looks like Ullr was listening and now the austral winter is full on down under with just under a foot of snow falling at the higher elevations of Thredbo.

Falls Creek was close behind with higher than reported summit snow totals and resort officials are excited to announce that they will be opening the Summit Chair for the first time this season thanks to the all new snow. When all is snowed and done, most Aussie ski areas can plan to see between 6-12″ of new snow out of the storm.
