Located just over an hour southeast of Knoxville, Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area is currently in the middle of a wildfire gone awry.

So far, scores of houses and livelihoods have been burnt to the ground, including homes owned by 3 members of the Ober Gatlinburg ski patrol. A GoFundMe Page has been set up to support these dedicated individuals. They include Joy Jucker, Pete Jucker, and Amanda Perryman. This trio alone includes over 50 years of volunteer service, level II and III ski and snowboard instructor certifications, in addition to serving as paramedics in their local communities.

“The affected patrollers can then use the funds to help pay for the many unplanned expenses we are sure they will encounter as they attempt to rebuild their homes & lives.” – Glenn Campbell, Ski Patrol Representative

The page has already raised $5,500 of their $10k goal but they need your help to get these dedicated individuals back on their feet.
