For all you Sunday River fans holding out hopes to ride the Spruce Peak Triple this season, we are sad to report the lift will remain closed for winter 2016/2017 after collapsing back in July.
It was determined by investigators that grout failure on the base of the lift was the fail point that caused the collapse. Repairing the lift was not an option and replacement would have further disrupted skiers from enjoying the resort, so Sunday River has decided to postpone any work on the lift until off season.
