The Freeride World Tour just released its 2017 schedule and it’s nearly same as last season. Save for a couple changes in order, the venues remain unchanged. The only North American stop remains Haines, Alaska aka “The Dream Stop.”

That said, the familiarity seems to be working for the tour as officials have been able to hone in on live broadcasts and publicity for the tour has never been better.

Freeride World Tour 2017 Schedule

JANUARY 28, 2017 – CHAMONIX-MONT-BLANC, FRANCETHE WINTER BEGINS

The world’s top riders face off with a clean slate among the razor-sharp alpine needles of Mont Blanc Massif in the home of all that is extreme in ski and snowboard world.

FEBRUARY 11, 2017 – VALLNORD-ARCALÍS, ANDORRA – HOLD THE LINE

Creativity and technical innovation will be the name of the game as riders attempt to solidify their strategies at the center of the Pyrenean freeride capital straddling the frontier of Spain and France.

MARCH 4, 2017 – FIEBERBRUNN, AUSTRIA – CRUNCH TIME

Pressure mounts on the Tyrolean test piece as the first cut is made with only the very finest riders of the first three stops qualifying for Alaska.

MARCH 17, 2017 – HAINES, ALASKA, USATHE DREAM STOP

Everyone will witness riders become their inner hero as they push their limits on the fantastically vast Alaskan terrain – but riders need to keep their feet on this earth if they intend to make the last cut for the finale in Verbier.

APRIL 1, 2017 – VERBIER, SWITZERLANDTHE GRAND FINAL

There simply is no equal to the intimidating and mighty Bec des Rosses face, which riders must ride and tame if they wish to be crowned world champion of the 2017 Swatch Freeride World Tour.
