When I think of rad women, my mind immediately jumps to Greg Stump’s ‘License to Thrill‘ and none other than skiing’s godmother, Kim Reichhelm. With her sporty hair and unwavering temper, Kim embodied skiing in the late 80’s/early 90’s in so many ways. Fast, steep skiing through rowdy terrain with no helmet and a style that was distinctly her own, Kim paved the way for women and men to get out and push their limits on two planks. Luckily, not much has changed (save for the helmet part).

Nowadays, Kim is guiding in the Andes with a focus on Chile. Frequenting Portillo, Valle Nevado, and the surrounding backcountry, Kim offers trips through August and ending in early September.

Ski Portillo has already received 180″ this season!

So far this season, Portillo in particular is boasting a hefty base that is well beyond their Argentinian neighbors to the east and it couldn’t be a better year to explore Chile with Kim Reichhelm.
