After a whopping 432″ of snow this season, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows announced Friday that the two Tahoe resorts are preparing for an epic month of May. Although we’re still over a month away, resort officials indicated that the resort group will do everything in its power to keep the “spring skiing capital” open as long as possible.

Along with Chamois aprés, High Camp Pool sessions, and slushy bump skiing, Squaw is also excited to welcome WinterWonderGrass and what might be the final Cushing Crossing during the month of April.

Which reminds me– who’s ready to ditch their skis mid lift and slap on the snowblades April 1st?
