After attending 5 different winter olympics and taking 12th at the infamous Hahnenkamm, Graham Bell is not done yet.

Bell, known as a daring Brit downhiller from the 1990’s, is now taking his ski experience to the world of speed records. That is– with the help of British car manufacturer, Jaguar. In this new challenge, Bell hopes to break the current speed record set by the Italian, Simone Origone back in March of 2014.

In the past, guys with balls made of steel took skis double the size of DH boards to the French Resort of Les Arcs with hopes of becoming the fastest skier in the world. Once there, these speed freaks would put on skin tight suits and aerodynamic helmets before allowing gravity to pull them towards their record-breaking destiny.

Did we mention he rocks 170 flex boots?!?!

Bell on the other hand is ditching gravity for a more modern approach. The 50 year-old former ski racer will instead use the power of an AWD Jaguar XE before flipping the switch on what engineers refer to as a “jet-powered” suit. At that point, jets will launch him towards his goal of 160mph on skis. Bell hopes that his training is sufficient and he can set the new Guinness World Record in Arjeplog, Sweden sometime in 2017. Good luck!

Bell has already broken the 100mph mark on flatland in Austria!
