We published one view point of this incredible Swiss rockslide but here is another that shows just how far the tumbling boulders traveled downhill and how close they came to a structure on the valley floor.

“The 2000 cubic meter  (or 70629.33 cubic foot) section slid 1000 meters downhill tearing a trench through the forest bellow. The area was being studied by geologist that predicted the event.”

There was no danger of human injury, as the entire valley had been evacuated but it is still shocking to see how close that one building came to destruction.
