The noise and accompanying rust smoke coming from that carabiner took color out of my face…also why would you put your hand anywhere near that thing as you are whipping down? Seems like a perfect recipe for one of those gnarly hand injuries where you just stick it in your armpit, scream and don’t want to look at it in fear you are down a finger or two. I guess if it becomes a crisis situation you do have a chute on but no thanks anyway.
