MAX ski PAss

Ski industry competitors Intrawest, Boyne Resorts, and Powdr have come together to offer a new season pass that will be good at 22 ski areas in Canada and the United States. The new Multi-Alpine Experience season pass (or the M.A.X. Pass) is a direct challenge to Vail Resorts Epic Pass.

Vail Resorts Epic Pass

Vail Resorts Epic Pass has been incredibly successful having sold roughly 400,000 ski passes this season. That adds up to an impressive $200 million in revenue. In addition to unlimited skiing at 11 ski resorts you also get Six (6) Buddy Tickets (tickets at a flat discounted rate) for pass holders who purchased their 2015-2016 passes before 4/12/15.

Price: $769 for adults, $399 for child

Unlimited access to 11 Resorts:

Vail, Colorado
Beaver Creek, Colorado
Breckenridge, Colorado
Keystone, Colorado
Arapahoe Basin, Colorado
Park City, Utah
Heavenly, California
Northstar, California
Kirkwood, California
Afton Alps, Minnesota

Mt. Brighton, Michigan

Multi-Alpine Experience season pass

The new Multi-Alpine Experience season pass (or the M.A.X. Pass) gives you 5 days of blackout free skiing or riding at 22 ski areas in Canada and the United States, and is priced at $699, less than Vail’s $769 Epic Pass, but the big difference is that the Epic Pass provides unlimited skiing at 11 Vail Resorts’ ski areas, while the M.A.X. Pass only comes with 5 days at each resort.

There are no blackout days on this ski pass, so you can hit the slopes whenever you want, however you want. Take a long weekend trip, hit the slopes for a single day, or take one long winter vacation. Guests who purchase the M.A.X. Pass can ski 5 days at each of the 22 participating ski resorts, for a total of 110 days of skiing at North America’s premier mountain destinations.

Price: Priced at $699 for adults, $499 for teens ages 13-17, and $249 for kids ages 6-12
