A low pressure area sitting above the North Atlantic will be moving across Europe over the weekend dropping what could be substantial snowfall at the higher elevations. As it stands now, the snow will start to fall in the French Alps on Friday night and carryon into Saturday. The snow line might fluctuate but predictions are for it to hover around 1000 – 1500 meters. Switzerland will gain the most from the storm with heavy snowfall late Saturday and into Sunday. The snowfall will be pretty intense with as much as 150cm forecasted.
