According to the NSAA Kottke National End of Season Survey, there has been a decline in the number of snowboarders hitting the slopes in the U.S. over the past two seasons. This little fact was brought to our attention by nwbroweather.com who have more on this story below. 

Collectively one could argue we’ve been in the snow- boarding “acceptance stage” since the mid-1990s, but acceptance unchecked leads to complacence. Today, there is every indication that the growth in snowboarding we took for granted has stalled and that visitation from snow- boarding is headed toward a path of substantial decline.
