Today was hands down the best day of the year for lift access skiing at Squaw Valley. 7-8 inches of new snow fell on the upper mountain making for a wonderful day of skiing. The snow came in light and bonded quite well to the old snow surface. High fives and good times were had by all.

Lower Mountain is still looking thin.

But Upper Mountain is looking quite healthy.

Today was a classic sleeper powder day. This was the line up at Granite Chief at 10am.

Highlights of the day were all found off Granite Chief: VIP’s, Break It Out, and Moogoos were all skiing well.

Best Day of the Year!
