Blackcomb Conditions Report for Dec.11th | Nothin’ but Pillows…

BLACKCOMB CONDITONS YESTERDAY, DEC. 11^th:

• Snowing light to moderate all day
• 2 cms of new snow overnight
• Low visibility up high
• Decent visibility mid-mountain and down low
• Crazy fun pillow skiing
• Tricky upper mountain off-piste skiing = hard skittery snow under super light soft looking snow with low visibility

BLACKCOMB STATISTICS:

• 2” (5cm) New Snow
• 5” (13cm) in past 24 hours
• 6” (15cm) in past 48 hours
• 12” (31cm) in past 7 days
• 62” (158cm) base
• 150” (382cm) total snowfall this season

WHERE THE SKIING WAS BEST YESTERDAY:

• We didn’t explore the mountain too much as we only did one long run (with lotza mini pillow hikes)
• Ruby Bowl was tricky with hard snow under über light fluff and flat light
• The “Double Secret Pillows” of Blackcomb were softish, charge-able, and fast

OVERALL:

• We didn’t see many zones yesterday but it snowed all day, the pillows are in, and Khyber’s should be damn fun today
