Snow Making at La Parva

While the ski season is all but dead at most resorts in North America, our neighbors to the south are just beginning to get fired up for their season. Chilean resorts outside of Santiago are currently making snow in anticipation for their respective openings. For those unfamiliar with skiing around Chile’s capitol, Santiago, there are three major resorts within about an hour drive of the city- La Parva, El Colorado, and Valle Nevado. Additionally, Portillo is about an hour and a half from the city. Check out Unofficial’s report on skiing from Santiago from last season.

White Stuff!

While the base still needs a bit of work, it’s still early and, rest assured, a storm is on its way. The forecasted storm is still a ways off, but we’ll be watching it closely to see what comes out of it. Stay tuned to Unofficial all summer for updates from the Andes.
