Snowbird ski resort will install a highly controversial roller coaster on it’s mountain. The Salt Lake County Planning Commission voted unanimously to approve the “mountain coaster” last Wednesday. Snowbird already has summer rides including: "the Alpine Slide, Mountain Flyer, Ropes Course, Climbing Wall, Kids’ Inflatables, Bungy Trampolines and Mechanical Bull will all open June 8th,” said The Ski Channel. “We are excited to provide another form of summer recreation for our guests and Utah’s growing population. It probably won’t be quite this exciting.

Snowbird ski resort will install a highly controversial roller coaster on its mountain.  The Salt Lake County Planning Commission voted unanimously to approve the “mountain coaster” last Wednesday.  Snowbird already has summer rides including:  “the Alpine Slide, Mountain Flyer, Ropes Course, Climbing Wall, Kids’ Inflatables, Bungy Trampolines and Mechanical Bull will all open June 8th,” said The Ski Channel.

– 3,100 foot long track
– Toboggans will be pulled up by a cable to the top
– Toboggans holding two passengers each will run the coaster
– Loading and unloading of toboggans at the base of the Peruvian Express Chairlift
– Will be entirely on private land
– No blueprints available yet
