April shower might bring May flowers. But they also provide the perfect amount of wind buffed snow to spruce up the Chimney and and get ‘er ready it for a very hungry Squallywood populous. This past Friday saw the largest Chimney session of the season, here’s what went down:
The Sweep

Center Line
- 4 foot cornice drop in
- A few inches of pow on a perfect ramp in
- Moderately large air out the bottom
- Right to left booter or left to right smooth air options
Easy Street
- Icy death strip up top
- A bit o’ boot out the bottom
- Perfect pow landing
- Definitely not so easy
With more snow in the forecast, it’s more than probable that we will be seeing the Chimney once again. If it’s not going to snow in December, January, or February, we might as well get it in April!
Here’s the rundown of our favorable week ahead:
Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of snow showers after 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 48. Breezy, with a south wind between 15 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Tuesday Night: Snow showers. Low around 28. Breezy, with a southwest wind between 15 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Wednesday: Snow showers. High near 39. Breezy. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Wednesday Night: A 50 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy and breezy, with a low around 26. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Thursday: Snow likely. Cloudy and breezy, with a high near 33.
Thursday Night: Snow. Cloudy and breezy, with a low around 24.
