The strong storm system that moved into Steamboat Sunday afternoon and ended today, left the boat with over 4 feet of fresh! It wasn’t until late yesterday when storm brought warm temps and heavy snow. It made the fresh champagne powder turn into sierra cement overnight. Yesterday the conditions were blower pow-gnargnar-faceshot-epicness and today its was like skiing the west coast.

There has been a report of avalanche activity on the Steamboat side country. The Lower Canyon today also a run on Buff Pass yesterday. The slide on Buff Pass was started by the Powder Cat guides. The slide was on a pitch that was 33 degrees! Be careful out there and make good decisions.
