you know it’s a low snow year when noaa throws down on a graphic like this for a 6” storm

“UPDATED(10 hrs ago): A weak low pressure system will move across northern California and Nevada today with isolated showers possible over the Sierra and western Nevada. A second, stronger winter system will move through the forecast area on Monday. Snow levels with this second system will start around 5000 feet and quickly drop to valley floors behind the associated cold front on Monday morning. Motorists planning to travel across the Sierra on Monday should prepare for winter driving conditions. A slushy accumulation is also possible for the Monday morning commute along the 395 corridor in western Nevada.” – Noaa.gov
