Mount Baker. It’s the third highest peak in the state of Washington. It holds the record for greatest recorded snowfall ever in one season, 30 meters or 100 feet in 1998-99 and the mountain also has the highest average annual snowfall of any ski resort in the world with 16 meters (52 feet). The ski resort is nestled near lower Shuksan Arm and flocked to by Pacific North West skiers and snowboarders.
Eliel Hindert and Nick McNutt heard that Mt. Baker might get some snow so they made the journey south from whistler across the border through the woods of Middle Earth and on to Mount baker day lodge. Turns out the conditions were perfect. Sadly they only skied for two days before making their way to Interior, BC. Looks like fun!
