Tuesday, Jan. 24 Conditions report
- We skied ourselves into the ground yesterday (Monday) and went to bed early as the snow stopped falling outside.
- We woke up to discover that the snow had resumed its falling ways.
- We went skiing on Blackcomb and it was amazing. If not a powder morning by definition, then today was certainly a powder afternoon.
- 15 cm (6 in) of snow fell from early this morning until the mountain closed and it only seemed to snow harder as the day went on. It is no surprise that up to 15 more centimeters are supposed to fall tonight. It was also a fairly warm day if you were out of the wind that picked up towards the end.
- CBC and the burn were full of deep stashes and earn my vote for the best runs of the day. Gangsters Paradise was our afternoon adventure and was fun if you managed to stay out of the bottomless holes. We were spit out of there at close to dark and after some driveway shoveling, I have been reduced to writing this conditions report in purely bullet format.
- Now, a hockey game tonight, Fresh Tracks in the morning, lots-o-coffee and do it all again. Keep snowing!
