National Geographic came out filming for a day this past winter with TGR and Seth Morrison. This video is an interesting insight into heli skiing in Alaska’s mountains and what the experience is like for the people responsible for safety.
Pilots and guides are pushed to the limit in situations like TGRs as the pilots have to figure out how to access the best zones for filming safely while guides have to make the right calls about avalanche conditions once on slope.
All this has to combine with superstar athletes like Seth Morrison and extremely challenging ski zones to create the amazing Alaska heli skiing footage we all yearn for each fall.
