Too soon after the passing of Whistler ski patroller Duncan Mackenzie another avalanche has claimed a life in B.C. A 45-year-old man was heli-skiing yesterday afternoon about 32 kms southeast of Revelstoke when a 75 meter wide  wide and a 250 meter long slide buriedfour people. All were wearing beacons and three of those caught in the slide were rescued unharmed. The fourth man, whose name has yet to be released, was discovered unconscious and he never recovered.
We urge everybody to be extremely careful in the backcountry.
Our condolences and thoughts go out to this man’s family and friends. Â
