After much speculation and confusion it looks like Snowbird will be opening the lifts for the season starting this Friday November, 18th. I had been guessing Thursday would be the day based information from a number of inside sources, but the powers at Snowbird are going with Friday instead. Perhaps the tragic passing of Jamie Pierre last Sunday had something to do with pushing things back a day.

Re: 2011-2012 Opening
We will be opening for the 2011-2012 season on Friday, November 18th.
Lift to open: Gadzoom. Terrain available: Bassackwards and Big Emma. Hours: 9am-4pm. The ticket price will be $58. There is a special online only ticket price of $46.00. This special ticket offer is good through Friday, November 18th, and the ticket will be honored through December 23rd. Note: This ticket cannot be purchased at a ticket window.
The shuttle will be running from Gad Valley to the Center from 8am-5pm
There is no restriction for Employees/Dependants/Concessions. Come and enjoy the first day of the new season! (This may change for Thanksgiving, depending on snow, weather and mountain conditions.)
Please get your employee passes prior to opening! Lift tickets will not be able to issue Employee, Concession and Race Team passes before 2pm on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
