This morning the residents of Squaw Valley awoke to crisp morning air and 5-6 inches of new snow on the valley floor. Last nights storm closed I-80 to both eastbound & westbound traffic due to multiple spin-outs. Eastbound was closed 1 mile east of Baxter and westbound at Truckee. Roads back OPEN but conditions are still very slick. The 6″ of snow that fell last night does not seem enough to ski on but I am sure a few hardy souls will attempt the feat on Mt. Rose.

How tall is a Sierra Nevada Beer bottle anyway?
