10 skiers were nominated by the US Ski & Snowboard Association for the first ever US freeski slopestyle team this morning.  These ladies and gentlemen will be competing in the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia in 2014.

Evan Raps is gonna coach.  Remember Evan, kind of a bad boy, park skier, cigarette smokin’, cool guy?  Yeah, he’s in Medical School now at the University of Reno, Nevada.  Somehow the USSA talked him into taking a break from school to coach the team.

It’s hard to image any of these athletes saying “no, I’m good, not really into the whole Olympic thing, anyway.”  So, I’ll go out on a limb and say that this is gonna be our team.
