How many of you in here think human caused Climate Change is Real?

If you think it’s real, what are you doing to help slow it down?

If you don’t think it’s real, what do you think is happening?

JJ on Capital Hill

Jeremy Jones certainly believes in human caused climate change and he states that he’s seen the mountains change in this video.

After having been turned away from areas that had once been rideable and seeing resorts closed due to lack of snow, Jeremy saw a gap between the winter sports community and the action being taken by them to address the problem.  Clearly, it’s time for us to step up and take responsibility to save the lifestyle that we all value so much. – protectourwinters.org

Jeremy went to Washington, D.C. this past year to take his message to Capital Hill.  Jeremy Started the Protect Our Winters (POW) in 2007 and has been bringing his message to the winter sports industry aggressively ever since.

Realizing that he needed to bring this issue to the top, he headed to Washington to rub elbows with the Big Boys on the Hill.

One common view is that we’ll have to change our policies to change our polluting behavior.  Capital Hill is a great place to start.  But, anytime these politicians get involved with an enthusiastic smirk, you’ve gotta wonder:  Do these guys give a flying methane flatulent about environmental policy change?  or is this just the popular flavor of the month that they’re leveraging to gain popularity and votes?  I for one, am not yet convinced that many top tier politicians are putting any real elbow grease into these changes, yet.

Climate Change truly has the potential to change our sport forever.

Is this something we can slow down, stop, or reverse?
