Huge wave at wave pool at Water Amusement Park set to full intensity.

Footage was captured at Yulong Shuiyun Water Amusement Park in Longjing, a city near the North Korean border. The wave injured 44 people, some of whom were taken to the hospital for injuries, including fractured ribs.

Following the incident, Longjing’s local government announced on Weibo that those hospitalized were in stable condition. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the wave pool malfunction, and the pool will remain closed until the issue is resolved.

The Weibo notice revealed that the investigation found “a power cut that damaged electronic equipment in the tsunami pool control room” caused the wave. Officials stated that a drunk employee was the cause was only “rumors”. But it has been widely speculated that an inebriated worker had turned the wave pool to the max.
