On Wednesday I was fortunate enough to attend the grand opening of the Salomon Store in Park Royal, the first of its kind in the world.
Salomon provided VIP treatment to their guests with an open bar and excellent catering by Whole Foods (expected in West Vancouver). As soon as I arrived I began to schmooze with as many people as I could. I finally got to meet Josh Dueck. -he’s the man, such a inspiring dude- make sure to check out his movie The Freedom Chair. I conversed with Mike douglas, Alex VU and the beautiful Kristi from Salomon all while stuffing my face with crab-cakes and cupcakes.
First Tracks Online spoke with Pascal Clausse who is the Head of Business Development & Retail for Salomon describes why they chose to launch in the beautiful city of Vancouver
“Of all the cities on this planet, we chose Vancouver to launch our new store design concept because this is the place that best embodies the essence of Salomon. To us, this city and its people, and the environment surrounding them, is the essence of mountain sports. In the coming months, Salomon will be opening more new stores in this design concept in Chamonix, France; Moscow, Russia and Toulouse, France”
The store is in West Vancouver located in the Village section of the Park Royal Mall. This specific Salomon store will mainly sell soft goods, with some Freeski and Nordic products. Drop in to check out the large shoe collection, pick up a pair of the super popular Rocker 2 ski, or just visit Park Royal to oogle the super MILF’s of West Vancouver.
