On Wednesday, September 07, 2011 a plane crashed in Russia killing all but one of the 45 people on board.  The plane was unfortunately  carrying one of Russia’s top KHL hockey teams. Among the the dead were many former NHL players including former Vancouver Canuck Pavol Demitra.  The plane crashed on take off and plummeted into a river about 250 km (150 miles) north of Moscow.  The crash was believed to be cause either by faulty equipment or by pilot error. The one crew member that survived suffered severe burns to more than 90% of their body. For more information check any online news outlet or  Business Week
