Moon Crashing into the top of the Marte
Moon Crashing into the top of the Marte

Soft.  Light.  Cold.  Dry.  Blue. Windless.  Fun…  It’s tough to put into words what went down Friday, August 19, 2011 at Las Leñas, and unfortunately the video above fails horribly at expressing the immense amount of fun that was to be had.  After 3 straight days of heavy snowfall, things decided to clear up and go off in Leñas.

Moon crashing into Eduardos at Las Leñas, Argentina.

There was around abouts of two and a half feet of the light dry stuff, and the sharks are starting to disappear (but be warned, they are still lurking). The Marte opened more or less on time and it was happy fun pow time for the duration of the day. The only down side to such a fantabulous powder day was the crowd.  The people were out in mass as this is the busiest weekend of  the year at Las Leñas due to it being a three day weekend in honor of San Martin, the liberator of South America.
