Squaw Valley USA has just announced the new appointment of Chevis Hosea to work on base area improvements such as upgrades to several of the resort’s base area restaurants and après ski venues for the 2011-12 winter season as well as the long term capital improvement projects. With more than 28 years of experience Hosea has recently managed La Quinta Inn’s expansion in CA.

Direct quotes from the press release:

Andy Wirth:

“We are truly thrilled to have someone with Mr. Hosea’s experience here at Squaw Valley. Mr. Hosea has a unique ability to enhance all facets of the resort experience through here-and-now facility improvements, extensive planning and long-term visioning capabilities.”

Hosea:

“Squaw Valley is the gold Standard of resorts in Lake Tahoe – and with Squaw Valley’s five year capital improvement plan, the resort will only be getting better. I’m honored to be a part of the Squaw Valley team in these transformative times”

As we have learned from the recent news regarding the Capital Improvements Project and this press release, it is now unavoidable, Squaw valley is in for some changes. Shall we let our nostalgia take over, complain and bitch about how things used to be, or shall come up with ingenious ideas to possibly mold Squaw into an even greater mountain? Sure, one might think that there is no point, KSL will not hear your suggestions, but what if they are too good to ignore.
