This year was the first time the Cushing Crossing (the original pond skimming event) was ever held in the summertime. This was essentially mandated by the fact that there literally was no spring this year. The last day that they had it scheduled for, May 28th, was dumping snow and the lake was partially frozen.
July 3rd was a good call. Perfect weather, warm water, plenty of spectators, and some solid performances. Great work on Cushing Crossing this year Squaw.
