june 4th storm 2011This is the West Coast Satellite photo from 1pm today, June 4th, 2011.  Yeah, looks like a Mid-Winter Storm.

Alright, we all know that nothing is open in Tahoe.  But, it’s still snowing and the weather SUCKS everywhere in NorCal, so f$$k it, let’s go skiing. The forecast is looking good for a big weekend snowfall and some killer early week pow skiin’ & ridin’.  Here’s the dirt:

TahoeWeatherForecast.com:

Snow levels could drop as low as lake level by mid-day Monday as the center of the low and coldest air move over the area. Above 8000 ft. we could see over a foot of snow with several inches down to 7000 ft. by Monday afternoon.

drop of water…raindrop.  This is California, you pick which one you wanna be around this June.

Noaa.gov:

Saturday, June 4th – 1 inch

Sunday, June 5th – 4-10 inches

Monday, June 6th – 2-4 inches

Total Saturday to Monday – 7-15 inches

15” of  fresh snow this weekend?  This is certainly a Mid-Winter forecast.  Which is why we’ve gotta take advantage of it.  This really may never happen in our lifetimes again, we can’t stress that enough.  We’ll all be talking about this Never-Ending Winter of 2011 forever.
