Earlier today we brought you the KCRA news story about the Southern Pacific Snow Train that was build in the 1950’s. The snow train was used this week for the first time since 98′ to clear snow from Donner pass. Todd Repsher sent in this video via email. Heres what he had to say about the train.

Attached are two videos of the Southern Pacific Snowblower that came over Donner pass on Tuesday. These are taken from the Soda Springs crossing, near the Soda Springs Ski Resort.  The last time this blower was used was in 1998, and it crushed a bunch of cars in Royal Gorge Van Norden parking lot. This year it only smashed up 3 cars waiting in line to cross the tracks at the Soda Springs crossing! In the second video you can hear people laughing as the cars are getting hammered!

Thanks – Todd
