Should be a great week ahead with some amazing music by the Charlie Hunter Trio tonight and Saturday night, some snow in the forecast, and Mardi Gras on Tuesday. After picking up a few inches of snow overnight, this weekend looks like a return to winter with the chance of more fresh stuff throughout the weekend. There is a chance of some accumulation Sunday night through Tuesday night, might be just what we need!
Friday, Mar. 4 & Saturday, Mar. 5 – Telluride Jazz Celebration presents the Charlie Hunter Trio @ The Llama. $20. 10pm. “Hunter plays custom-made seven and eight-string guitars, on which he simultaneously plays basslines, rhythm guitar, and solos.” This guy is amazing live and has been playing since the early 90’s, releasing 17 albums since then!
