Located on the third floor of Watson’s Shelter at Alta the Collins Grill is a bright, clean, high class place to grab a bite mid- mountain if you are feeling famished. Head chef Shawn Conway has been cooking at Alta for nearly a decade and he puts together some mean dished that will leave you wondering why you spent some much time eating in the cafeteria all your life.
The Collins Grill has a terrific staff that includes a Mr. Ron Jeremy, Mel, Dawn, Patrick and many other smiling faces. They will provide you with some comfy slippers if you want to ditch your cold ass ski boots for a while, and they all know the menu so well that their suggestions should not be ignored. I recommend the bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers!
The prices at the Collins Grill are a bit steeper than the cafeteria, so be ready for a little beat down on your wallet. But hey, you get what you pay for and their food it the best. Check them out sometime when you want to impress someone.
