After over a week of nothing but sunshine and warm temps, Telluride felt like winter again this morning with frigid air and some fresh snow. Even if it was only about 6″ new, we will take anything we can get at this point and certainly enjoy it! Despite the single digit temps this morning, the skiing was pretty damn good with some deep pockets of snow to be found and small crowds. There were areas of ice and frozen chunks under the powder to watch out for, mostly on southern aspects, but who really cared. It was just really nice skiing in some soft snow again! The forecast is calling for some more over night and cold temps again in the morning. Can’t wait to add a layer and do it all over again tomorrow. Great start to February!
