Yet another great day at Stowe today! Despite the longer lines from weekend warriors, there was plenty of good snow to be had all around the mountain. Snow was falling all day and sometimes really hard. I would suspect a few inches fell throughout today. Very little wind added to this nice day, with some periods of sunshine popping out, if only for a few minutes. I tried to stay off the main trails since there seemed to be a ton of people them. I ventured into the woods and was able to find some great, consistent snow from the top all the way down to the bottom. All of these little snow squalls has seemed to add up in the woods, making for a better base and less of a chance of getting a core shot. You still have to be light on your feet, but it’s nice being able to open it up a bit and really shred some tree lines. Looks like we could get another cold snap here in the next few days, but that’s okay because it will keep the snow nice and light. Here is a video of Alicia shredding through the woods today.
