There’s probably some Jeff Foxworthy joke about being a red neck and cooking food on your muffler. I say screw that guy. He’s never had a hot meal in the backcountry courtesy of a two stroke engine and some fossil fuels. The Muff Pot is your ticket to civilized eating when you’re sledding. The Muff Post attaches easily to your snowmobile’s pipe, using the heat provided by the engine to cook a tasty meal. Just slap virtually any food items (okay, maybe not soup) into the pot, clamp down the lid, and rip around until your food is cooked to perfection. How long it takes to cook something depends on what you’re cooking, how hot your sled runs, and a variety of other factors. I’d say check it every ten minutes or so. Truth be told, you’ll probably space out the fact that you’re cooking at all the first few times and wont stop to investigate until your sled starts smoking. Imagine your relief when you pop the hood and it’s only your Bomb Burrito, not your next mortgage payment, that’s on fire. This is a must have for anybody that’s serious about snowmobile shredding and is planning on spending serious time in the backcountry. Not to mention, in a pinch you could melt some water with the system, so it could possibly save your life.
