Remember all that HIDEOUSLY POURING RAIN on Thursday?  Remember those ridiculously high snow levels that were above the top of Squaw?  I don’t.  I hired a young French-Local mountain guide, Jehren Bohem, and was swiftly escorted to the goods on friday.  We went up Mt. Rose, and using nothing but our own human power we toured deep into the high country and found some amazing ski terrain….and then went skiing on it.  We were all FLABBERGASTED when we found 5 inches of powder covering the horrible spines and chutes that were suddenly surrounding us.  We were out all day and were forced to witness one of the most spectacular sunsets Lake Tahoe has every conducted.  Forced.

Check out this edit from skiing on Friday January 14th, 2011 on Mount Rose, NV with Jehren Bohem, Brennan Lagasse, and featuring the skiing of Marmot athlete Eric Bryant.
