Today wasn’t anything to write home about at Stowe. The conditions were OK. I chose to ride the Gondola most of the day because of the snowmaking guns underneath the Quad, plus it makes the ride to the top way better! The winds were a bit gusty throughout the day and a little freezing drizzle also fell. The highlight of the conditions were on Perry Merrill. If you stayed to the skier’s left, the snow was quite good and allowed for some nice soft turns. Other than that, a lot of the trails seemed icy and hard packed. It looks like the Medium Terrain Park will be ready to go by the weekend. The Park Crew has a couple of features set up in the Small Terrain Park, located at the bottom of the Gondi. The buzz word(s) of today: HOT LAPS!
