With 11″ of new snow over night, and another 6″ throughout the day yesterday, anywhere on the mountain was great.  There was a bit of a late start for snow safety because the heavy snowfall and strong winds.  The gondola didn’t open until after noon.  It took the workers some time to get the tree off of the cable that blew over.

As the day went on, the winds calmed down and visibility got better.  The snow was thick and really fixed up the lower mountain.  It did a great job covering up the hard snow left over from that heat last week.   The queues were a little long in the morning with holiday traffic and closed lifts, but around 1:30 things went back to normal.
