Beautiful sunny skies and temps in the mid 40’s today made for a great day hot lapping off chairs 5 & 6. Telluride has not seen much snow yet this year, and with limited terrain open, one must make due with plentiful sunshine and skiing laps on chair 5 and now 6. By noon today, Silver Tip and the bumps on Palmyra(Henry’s) were softening up nicely and skiing really well, but look out for the rocks that are starting to appear in the bumps. Damn we need snow BAD! Let’s keep our fingers crossed for the end of this week; the forecast is looking promising! But who knows, this IS Telluride!

Off chair 6, Woozley’s was skiing super-slick today and REALLY fast! Made me feel like I needed a serious tune on my edges. The new terrain park below Happy Thought has been fun to cruise through and work on your Steeze, if your into that sort of thing! They took out one of the jumps, so the current set-up is a flat-box to down-kink to one small table-top. Had fun taking a few laps through the park with Vermont ripper and Middlebury College student Zach Hitchcock; he was throwing some of the smallest frontflips I have ever seen! Pretty Rad!

Should be a similar day out there tomorrow,  sunny in the morning and hopefully some clouds will begin to roll in during the afternoon. THINK SNOW!
