Things got a little out of hand at a renegade downhill skateboarding event at San Francisco’s Dolores Park with cops responding to hundreds of skaters with riot gear and shot guns. They blocked the street and then reopened it after being overwhelmed by skaters. The entire thing was shutdown 2 hours after police arrived.
One officer and one skater were taken to the hospital. Two cruisers were vandalized.

P.S. the guy skater who went to the hospital is none other than the editor in chief of Thrasher Magazine, 54 year old Jake Phelps:
