Mammoth Mountain is officially OPEN for the 2016 -2017 ski season. Lift tickets are just $50 and it looks to be a glorious day in the Sierra. Mammoth is one of the few spots in the United States that has snow right now and is one of only four ski areas open in the United States.

As of this morning, Mammoth is reporting a base depth between 6-36″ with surface conditions being described simply as “Machine Groomed.”
